Your site is pre-configured with our recommended default options and is ready for use!
This post will orient you on Guild Launch features and answers the most often asked guild site Admin questions. If you have additional questions please visit our support forums at http://support.guildlaunch.com/ and specifically our FAQ forum
Templates, Header, Guild Name, etc.
Nearly all options for customizing the template and look and feel of your site are available on the 'Template & Customization' tab in the Admin area of your site.
Menus and Navigation
The primary navigation links (Forums, Rapid Raid, PvP, Guild Roster, etc.) can be added, removed and edited on the 'Primary Navigation' page on the 'Template & Customization' in the Admin area.
Widgets can be added, removed, moved and configured on the 'Sidebar Widgets' page on the 'Content' tab in the Admin area.
The post you are reading right now is an example of a News Post and is part of the Guild News widget. With this widget any Announcement post made in a selected forum is shown on the Guild News widget. When your site was created we automatically added a Guild News widget to your homepage and selected the News forum as the source of posts.
You can configure the forum the posts come from, the number of posts and other options using the 'Configure Widget' link at the bottom of this post.
You can remove this post from your homepage by clicking the 'View Post' link at the bottom of this post and then clicking the 'Edit' button on the post and changing the post from an 'Announcement' to a 'Normal' post on the 'Post topic as' line.
Recruiting, Applications & Adding Members to Your Site
Recruiting options can be configured on the 'Main Settings' page under the 'Recruiting' heading on the 'Members' tab in the Admin area. You can configure your recruiting status and Launch Code on that page.
Your guild application and new applications can be edited and managed under that same 'Recruiting' heading on the 'Members' tab in the Admin using their respective links.
All members, whether members in-game or not, must submit an application to the guild to get access to the guild site. If you configure a Launch Code they can bypass the actual application, but they must go through the application process and submit the Launch Code.
All applications are entered by clicking the 'Apply' to guild link on the upper left of the sidebars of the site.
Guild Launch supports automated roster imports for World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online and EQ2. You can run the imports on the 'Import' link to the left of the 'Guild Roster' page linked in the Primary Navigation area of your site.
Character Profile Imports
Guild Launch supports automated profile imports for World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online. These imports can be run when you perform the Roster Import as indicated above.
We also support Add-On based profiler imports for World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online. You can download the mods for this on the GLMods site and they can be uploaded at the bottom of your 'Characters' tab on your 'User Profile' page.
